Introduction Welcome. WWII Letters from Wick will be posted in real time as they "arrive". They are organized into two blogs; one sharing letters and photos from the year 1944 and one with letters from the year 1945, enjoy!...... Wick left for military service in 1942. My 19th and 20th years have passed without seeing him. Life goes on at the home front... Listening to records by Crooner Bing Crosby and swing music by the Benny Goodman Orchestra or reading a good book are some of my favorite things to do. Currently, I am working as a secretary and taking typing and short hand classes. During my spare time I pull weeds from our Victory Garden and I correspond with my brother and several friends in the armed forces overseas. I hope they'll be safe at home soon. Tuning in to "Fireside Chats" on the radio is one of my ways of keeping in touch with the War Effort.---BUY WAR BONDS----
