The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?
You know back in my day, shoes were made out of...the same stuff they are now. So I'm not going to lie I was pretty shocked. I thought man, aren't socks monsters that devour feet? The answer, if you are curious, is yes.
