| Introduction | Influenced by the philosophy of his parents, community service is important to David. He has served as president of the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Gregg County in Longview, Texas and has volunteered his time as a mentor with Junior Achievement. He has been a member of the board of directors for the Longview Independent School District Foundation for six years, presently serving as vice president of funding. In addition, David has served as president of the Longview High School Band Booster organization. During his tenure at Neiman Marcus, David began his association with the National Retail Federation in Washington, D.C. by joining the International Trade Advisory Committee (ITAC). He was appointed vice chairman of the ITAC in 2004, and in 2006, he assumed the role of chairman. David also served on the Strategic Supply Chain Council of the National Retail Federation. In early 2009, David left Neiman Marcus, and later in the year, he began providing international logistics consulting services to an Italian company named Albatrans, Inc., which he continues today. David thoroughly enjoys cooking. |
