Introduction	Hello and welcome to Liz Listens! You may be wondering, "What exactly does Liz listen too?" Good question! I listen to my spirit. I listen to God. I listen to others' stories. I listen to nature. I listen to anything that speaks to me, inspires me and keeps the flame of hope alive in myself and others! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and practice mental health and/or substance abuse therapy with children and adults. I really enjoy my work and am constantly learning from the clients who courageously share their pain with me in our sessions. Enjoy reading the posts! I know you will find some entertaining and funny. My hope is that you find some inspiration in this blog. I pray that you live life to the fullest, with abundance, as I believe God would intend for us too. As my header states, "Life sucks, but you don't have to!" The truth is that I do not believe that life is awful and terrible. I love life! But, life can be difficult, challenging, painful and even depressing at times.
