| Introduction | Once a potter always a potter at heart, but now I am hand dyeing wool fabric to sell on my etsy shop. I cannot imagine life without art, my craft keeps me very focused, sometimes my days disappear and suddenly it's Friday! Being self-employed means you have to be a multi-tasker. During my pottery years I have had to be able to re-wire my kiln, analyze my glaze recipes, and merchandise my pots. But I love using the talents God gave me! My daughters are very supportive and it helps to have a husband who is also an artist. Barry makes twig baskets, and other various northwoods rustic decor. We used to live and work at our studio in Saint Germain, but now we are living in a small farming town. Barry is still creating and selling his baskets at art and craft shows. I consider quilting my hobby since it's nice to make something I don't have to sell. I love the remoteness of the woods, and enjoy camping in a quiet campground. As a child I had the Wolf River in Langlade county to play in and roam the woods. It has always stayed with me, that freedom of a beautiful wild river. What a blessing! |
