Introduction JC Cassels was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, but divided her time between her family’s suburban home there and her grandparents’ farm in rural South Carolina. The youngest of five, some of her earliest memories are of watching Star Trek and Lost in Space episodes on a tiny black and white portable television aboard the family boat. She traces her lifelong infatuation with SF/Adventure to those heady moments. JC Cassels started out as a stringer for the Tampa Tribune in 1991. Since that time, she has been a member of the RWA, TARA, TWA and PINAWOR, and is a current member of Pennwriters. Her work has appeared in magazines and newspapers. JC recently finished editing The Hidden Children by Yocheved Artzi, and she has contributed to Sci-fi website Giant Freakin Robot and blogs about her simple life as a mom in rural Southwest Georgia. JC lives with her husband, three children, four dogs, five chickens and a horse in a century-old house in a tiny rural community, and enjoys spending her free time sewing, camping and heckling theoretical physicists on the Science Channel.
