| Introduction | I have been a hospice nurse for 28 years and recently had the honor of working almost six of those years with my therapy dog JJ. She worked along side me during our 12 hour shifts and was easily one of the most favorite of all staff members. Before she died in December of 2017, she nannied her last Golden Retriever litter, leaving what we hope were parting words of wisdom and her magic onto her great niece Ember. We even wrote a book together "JJ's Journey: A Story of Heroes and Heart". I am also an instructor and examiner for our therapy dog organization Project Canine. In my spare time, I get to be a puppy wrangler. |
