| Introduction | Like many ordinary citizens, there was a time I never really thought about victims of crime. I entered this field only after friends of mine became victims of horrific crimes. I started Victim Assistance Online in 1995, which has since provided victim assistance specialists, organizations, related professionals and the general public with information, links, networking resources and referrals. Vastly fortunate in the mentors, friends and colleagues I've worked with around the world, I'll be calling on their assistance to help present information, viewpoints and commentary on the combined victim assistance fields. |
