| Introduction | Needlework, in almost every form, is my life's passion. After the death of my husband in 2004, I really immersed myself in my needlework, not only in the stitching but in designing as well. I have to say that my stitching was my therapy and helped me through the grieving process. When I decided to start designing professionally I chose the name "Heart's Ease Examplar Workes" --heartsease, for the wonderful little wild pansy, as well as for the "heart's ease" that stitching gives to my soul.
