Introduction	"embrace new beginnings" It may sound corny to some, but Doug’s doctrine of always doing the right thing and treating people fairly is music to the ears of the borrowers who sing his praises to friends and family members who have seen fit to join his growing group of satisfied customers. They’re equally appreciative of his 10+ years of experience in the field—first with Federal Funding Mortgage and then with 1st American Mortgage Corporation—where he directed 15 loan officers and managed an office that originated more than $400 million in residential loans each year. Rounding out a remarkable resume are the 13 years he spent with DynCorp where he supported the U.S. State Department’s Embassy Security Program working in more than 50 countries. Douglas is a local boy (born in Takoma Park, MD) who made good, growing up in Olney, graduating from Magruder High School and attending Control Data Institute, where he studied Electronics and Micro Computer Repair. He now lives in Ijamsville, MD and enjoys coaching his three children in baseball, basketball and socce—and taking his family on sports-oriented outings that include fishing, kayaking, snow skiing and golfing.
