| Introduction | My life is one adventure after another. I've seen the southern cross and gotten lost in the Alps. I've walked barefoot through the Taj Mahal and stood in quiet wonder, listening to the wind from high up in the Rocky mountains. I've hiked in the mountains of southern Africa and climbed a waterfall on the Nile, with hippos and crocodiles all around me. I've toured a castle in Italy and walked through the gravel world of a concentration camp. I've stood in front of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, watched shooting stars fall over a Swazi night, and listened to the World Cup via a radio broadcast while driving across the border of South Africa. I've driven down the world's most dangerous road and visited the murder capital of the world several times over. I've hugged thousands of AIDS orphans, watched the lame walk, and seen the TB patient stop coughing, leave the hospital, and go home to live. I have been blessed to live a life of complete and utter awe of the One who created the world and called me to the nations, to minister to different tribes, different cultures, and different tongues in the name of Him who sent me. |
