This blog primary function is to give tips and advice on getting hikers started along with routes and great trails to follow. Ever since I was a boy, when as a family we went on our annual summer holiday to the Lake District (UK), I caught the hiking bug. This love affair spilled into my adulthood where I found it a great escape from the pressures of city life. Since those early days as a child, I’ve learned a lot from my hiking experiences.
