| Introduction | I used to be what you would call a "Book Hater" until about the fifth grade. I liked the stories but I was a slow reader and got bored fast. When my teacher assigned "The Island of the Blue Dolphins" I was expecting more of the same... that is until I got sucked in. After reading this book, I couldn't get enough of the stories and knowledege that hid within the pages. I never thought that I could travel to so many lands while sitting in one place.
