| Introduction | On Christmas day, 25 December 2007, the Sunday social football group at Penang Free School formally took on the identity as the "Social Frees". On 15 November 2008, the Social Frees merged with team Madrid (first & oldest competitive team made up of a majority of Social Frees and Penang Free School Alumni) thus forming its first competitive division. The former Madrid is positioned as the anchor team of the Social Frees which will also include players from the "Old Frees' Association" and those Social Frees who want to play on both Saturdays and Sundays. |
