| Introduction | I am Canadian and currently living in Porto Alegre (Happy Port), Brazil studying Portuguese and living the good life. English is almost useless here if you can't speak Portuguese so I decided I'd better get educated. Since October 2007 I've studied Portuguese at UFRGS, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. I have traveled away from Canada for more than three years now and have settled in southern Brazil since February 2007. The cities are beautiful and the people are amazing and horribly friendly to foreigners. I am always surprised at how well I am treated in this part of the world. At the moment, I have a thriving one man English conversation school. I've made it work and now I am feeling somewhat useful. I am always looking for new opportunities in life and in business. I just have to keep my eyes open. |
