Introduction Raised in the Blue Mtns of E. Oregon, Sally earned a BA in Ed from Prescott College, graduated from the University of N. Colo.with MA in SPED, & holds Level III teaching licenses in K-8 ed & preK-12 SPED, with endorsements in TESOL/gifted. Sally taught at Questa HS, worked in an Appalachian school for adjudicated teens, served as an English teacher in China, volunteered in England, led elephants/cooked on jungle treks in Thailand, operated a home-based pottery business, & spent countless hours astride a horse, working for outfitters, plus served on old growth projects in the San Juans, assisted with black bear studies on the Uncompahgre Plateau, participated in long-term fire ecology studies in Yellowstone National Park/Mesa Verde National Park, specialized as an ecological field assistant for the Medicine Bow National Forest, & edited textbooks/conducted fieldwork for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. More recently, Sally taught 6th grade at Taos Charter School, pursued her National Board Certification, scored a myriad of hockey games, & spent blissful hours with her family or dogs, exploring the mountains, cloud-watching, and relishing the beauty of life.
