| Introduction | I grew up in Calgary as a downhill ski racer. In the summer of 2003 I was introduced to track cycling as a means of cross training for skiing. I raced on Thursday nights, and it was fun. In 2004, I joined the Synergy Racing Cycling Club and primarily rode and raced track in the summer. That fall I raced plenty of Cyclocross, and then left the country in January of 2005. I came back at the end of June and raced July and August on the track. September 2005, I moved to Victoria BC to go to school. In spring of 2006 I did my first road race, it was spring series #1. I raced that summer out of Calgary, and went back to Victoria in September. That fall I started working with a new coach and have been training consistently ever since. The spring of 2007 I experienced my first all women’s road race at BC cup #1 Harris Roubaix. It was really fun. The summer of 2007 I raced again out of Calgary, but traveling to more out of province races. I once again moved back to Victoria in September 2007, which is where I currently reside. I am extremely excited to be racing with Giant/Team Whistler around BC and the Northwestern USA for the summer of 2008. It will be amazing. That is it. |
