| Introduction | I have a BS in Special Education from WSU, a Masters in Social Work from Springfield College, and I completed the certification program in School Administration from MESPA. I have 19 years experience in the public schools as a special education teacher, regular education teacher, and principal; including extensive experience working with students learning English as a second language. I have advocacy training through the Federation for Children with Special Needs and completed their internship program. I started High Expectations Advocacy in September 2009. I am a trainer for the Federation for Children with Special Needs. I've taught a graduate level course: Collaborating in Transition Planning with Students with Disabilities (14-22), Families, Professionals, and Community Partners. I have been on the Board of Directors for SPaN: Special Needs Advocacy Network, Inc. since November 2019 and a member since 2010. I am a first generation immigrant, and I am bi-lingual French/English. |
