| Introduction | Worth Gowell was born in Portland, Maine, but also spent his formative years in Georgia, Virginia, and New York. In grade school Worth gained slight notoriety--and detention--for his caricatures of teachers. His comic strip in Northwestern University’s student newspaper was honored by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association; and his most recent work, Small Wonder, has been featured in Jokester Magazine and Michael Jantze’s The Norm Magazine. Worth and his family now live near Chicago; along with Newt, Jackie, Carver, raccoons, skunks, maniacal birds, a mangy cat, and more bunnies than you can shake a stick at. He credits his children with being a constant source of perspiration. |
