| Introduction | Raised on Wonder Bread and glazed donuts, I discovered a new passion for daily fresh bread when my mom told me, "If you can make a good biscuit, you'll get a husband." This life lesson has carried me through careers at The Dallas Morning News, Cowboys & Indians Magazine, an ad agency gig with sparkling high-profile clients and some delicious recipe development for Jeanne when she was with Better Homes & Gardens. I'm also a State Fair of Texas blue ribbon winner for jams, those sweet companions for all good things from the oven. I even went to Le Cordon Bleu and learned how to make buttercream. There are other passions: family, tap dancing, a little bakery in Wyoming that lets me play dough, and my guilty pleasure: buying hats in New York. The oven's always warm here. Want a croissant? |
