Introduction	Armando Santa Ana is a Mexican painter, solar sculptor, writer, and professor of Mexican Art History and Latin American Literature in different universities in Mexico and the USA. He was a disciple and friend of Juan Rulfo. His most recent important exhibition was shown at the Yucatan Museum of Contemporary Art. All museums of the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM) have collected his solar sculptures. Now he is dedicated to the preservation of native people's languages, focused especially on the Huichol people (Wixarika Language) in the western mountains of Mexico (Sierra Madre Occidental). In this fall semester he is a visiting professor in SUNY Cortland, where previously he visited as a Fulbright scholar.
