Introduction	Government and politics, whether national or local is something I try to avoid as best I can. This doesn’t mean I’m not opinionated or that I don’t care. There are a variety of topics that I’m very interested in, and even maintain passionate opinions on. It’s just that I’ve come to the conclusion that the majority of people’s opinions in politics are more often than not superficial and erroneous. I find it hard to have a logical discussion with someone when their thoughts are guided by their emotions rather than their reason. This is made even worse when it turns out that they don’t know the first thing about whatever it is they are so convinced about. I am by no means implying that I know anymore than anyone else, but at least I’ll admit it.
