Introduction Rod King has been campaigning for 20mph limits since visiting Warrington's twin town of Hilden (Germany) in 2004. There he found that their high levels of walking and cycling were built on a foundation of 30km/h speed limits across most of the town. In 2007 Rod set up 20's Plenty for Us as a not-for-profit organisation to assist communities wanting lower speed limits on their streets. 20's Plenty for Us now has 240+ local branch campaigns across the UK and already 13m people live in local authorities that are implementing or committed to implement a "default 20, targeted 30" speed limit policy. In 2013 Rod received an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for "Services to Road Safety".
