| Introduction | I'm here to raise a clarion call against social issues that have marred the Indian society. I honestly feel that the 'Indian culture' is much hyped when we have still not overcome social evils like gender inequality, dowry harrassment, female foeticide, rapes, acid attacks, poverty, illiteracy, deep-rooted corruption and other social issues. Brushing up these issues will hold us back from progressing in the 'real sense'. Yes, I'm a feminist. But that does not imply that I'm a misandrist. I just wish for a sane environment for women to live at par with their male counterparts. |
