| Occupation | I own my own English tack store called Lead Changes. For all you non-horsey folks: a tack store sells horseback riding apparel and equipment. |
| Location | Benton, Louisiana, United States |
| Introduction | I am a horse addict, a wife, a tack store owner and the mom of the cutest toddler in the world. I'm an adult amateur eventer who has the coolest horse ever. I love selling tack around Area V and helping folks find what is right for them. Here are some miscellaneous tidbits about me: I love music, books and movies almost as much as horses, and I am known to quote them at drop of a hat. I could eat pizza, ice cream and cheese everyday. I married the best man. I'm a total geek. I wish I could be a super agent like Jennifer Garner in "Alias." Someday I want to be a certified technical delegate. I am working on getting published. I have WAY TOO MUCH education. And I have formal, operatic vocal training. I'm extremely anal retentive, and I love college football. I'm a little bit clausetraphobic and scared of the dark. My two favorite colors are chartreuse (otherwise known as "Bien green" and royal blue, and I love to send cards and write letters. |
| Interests | I love to write. (Can you tell?) And I love to read. I think it's tremendously sad that so many people don't like to read. Music has always been a passion of mine and lately I've really gotten interested in photography. MOVIES! Of course anything having to do with horses interests me; it's the nature of being a horse nut! |
| Favorite movies | Tombstone; Say Anything; The Princess Bride; Happy Texas; Raiders of the Lost Ark; When Harry Met Sally; The Dark Knight; Return to Me; all of the Lord of the Rings trilogy; 16 Candles; PS, I love you; Nottinghill and Legally Blonde; Dune; The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai; Seabiscuit; International Velvet; the Blind Side; Secretariat; Silver Linings Playbook; the Avengers |
| Favorite music | There is so much good music out there! How could I possibly pick? I listen to just about everything. Although I am not a fan of the angry, hard stuff that's out there. I love Third Day, David Cook (I know I'm a nerd), Andrea Boccelli, Amici Forever,Jars of Clay, U2 and the Eagles, and how could I possibly forget Sting and the Police! Lately I've really been into country (Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts and Little Big Town,) and I know this solidifies my nerd status, but I LOVE opera! |
| Favorite books | This is like asking me for favorite music. SO hard to narrow down. The Horse Whisperer; The Talisman; Chosen by a Horse; The Lord of the Rings trilogy, also the Hobbit; anything by CS Lewis, including the really deep stuff; Captivating; Become a Better You; anything by Patrica Cornwell and James Patterson; Desiring God, ANYTHING About the Arthurian legend, and the Shack. |
Please describe how you could take the peel off an apple all in one go:
I've actually done this! When I was living in Kentucky several of us from the restaurant where I worked volunteered at a fall apple festival. Our job was to peel apples...thousands of them! The folks at the festival had these nifty gadgets that literally peeled the apples in one piece! Very cool!
