| Introduction | The connection I have with nature is the connection I have with myself. When I am closer to nature, I am most happy, content and creative.
It's been no accident that throughout my lifetime, I've been magnetically drawn to explorers, inventors, artists, pioneers and independent thinkers. My heroes include such "renegades" as Amelia Earhart and Henry David Thoreau and my circle of friends include people who think outside of the box, march to a different beat and courageously live their life. As stand at the cusp of my lifelong dream of living off the grid, I'm excited, eager and thoroughly pinching myself. I am equipped with information, knowledge, enthusiasm, vision, imagination, sense of adventure, tenacity and perseverence. This blog is dedicated to recording my trials and tribulations, joys and victories. Some days will be easier than others. Through it all, the journey will be sweet, for it is said that joy is found in the journey and not in the destination. |
