Introduction	At a time in my life when so much is changing, I have decided to take a look at nostalgia, and the role it plays in my life. I have always cherished the past, and I hold memories in my heart that I will treasure as long as God grants me a sound mind. Amid the losses and gains of a difficult year where I feel as if I am being jerked around by forces so much bigger than me, I am finding a great deal of comfort in these memories. I have hope that through the exploration of, and meditation on, these times gone by, these "still frames," I can learn and grow, grasping a sense of why I hold so tightly to the past, and what good, if any, these memories bring me.
