| Introduction | Andrea has worked in youth programming and direct service for the last 12 years. She has been providing training for child care, after school and year round recreation staff throughout Massachusetts since 1999. Her background is in human development, substance abuse prevention, and youth asset building. Most recently she was hired in 2005 to create Newburyport Youth Services and has grown the department into an innovative, profit building, well recognized and appreciated service for families in and around Newburyport. She is currently working with communities to incorporate the 40 Assets into parenting, schools and city wide initiatives. Andrea was recently named New Professional of the Year by the Mass Parks and Recreation Association. |
