Introduction	I am a graduate student in the journalism program at the E.W. Scripps j-school at Ohio University. My studies have primarily been in magazine publishing and trade magazines. Once I finish school, my goal is to work in an editorial capacity at a magazine – preferably a culture/arts or trade publication. I will be done with my classwork in June of 2007, and my thesis will be completed shortly thereafter. At that point, I will be moving to Chicago, where I will try like the dickens to find meaningful employment.
Interests	Cycling, cyclocross, noise, punk rock, coffee.
Favorite Movies	Blade Runner, Gattaca, other dystopian stuff.
Favorite Music	Mission of Burma (obviously), Chameleons UK, Wire, Medicine.
Favorite Books	Anything by J.G. Ballard, and out of necessity, the Chicago Manual of Style.

Sponges and tongues are frequently misspelled. Is it because both are thirsty?

Yes, especially if they've recently come into contact with some nice, salty pretzels.
