| Introduction | Some women seem to have great spirit and inexhaustible strength. These women can overcome steepest obstacles and create a way for themselves. One element common in them is "optimism". I firmly believe that the best approach to lead a happy life is being upbeat and optimistic about life. The vision of my book "Breaking Barriers" reflects the courage and willingness of women to cross the boundaries of the external and internal obstacles. The inspiration is women cops in USA and India but this book deals with women issues more broadly as well. The book attempts to discourage the self created boundaries, from understanding their own potential and the value of their lives. It is not important for women to be working in offices to build self esteem but trying to identify the essence of a meaningful life inside and outside their homes. I respect those families who encourage women to transform their dreams into realities. My book is devoted to every woman who can bring a meaningful difference in her life, family, neighbors, society and country. |
