| Introduction | It’s probably safe to say that everyone reading this blog has eaten a meal in a sit-down restaurant. But if you have never worked as a server in the food industry, you will only be able to appreciate this blog series on a certain level. You see, being a server is different than being a cook, or a hostess, or a bartender (although bartenders would be the closest species). It’s a fraternity that is forged by the heat coming from the steaming heaps of humanity that you face shift by shift; long hours of being on your feet with other servers on your nerves, bad tips after being complimented on great service, and the drudgery of the unending side work. So welcome to First Team Cut, the blog that says the things servers would love to say to your face. You will laugh, probably be marginally-to-moderately offended, agree with some things, be blinded by glimpses of the obvious, and maybe even be compelled to make a trip to the closest mirror.
