It’s communal music commentary: not a stale systematic cacophony of collegiate and critical critiques, but rather, a place to hear shared thoughts on music that is presently speaking to others (whether towards their heart, head, or body). It’s serious: As humans, we tend to be really good at listening to ourselves and what we like and approve of, but we aren’t that great at opening up to others. While there is a distinction between good and bad culture, simply being walled up in ourselves is going to cause us to miss out on discovering points of truth, beauty, and goodness external to us. We hope that the podcast will help expand our listening capacity in some small way and open us up to other avenues of listening that will bring life.
