| Introduction | I'm Associate Professor of Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and American Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Addiction Research and Theory". I've been involved in the assessment and treatment of addictive disorders, focusing on substance use, for more than 30 years. I was previously on the faculty of the Rutgers Center of Alcohol Studies where I directed an outpatient clinic for substance users. I'm currently enrolled in a Master's program in bioethics at Loyola University of Chicago. My current writing project is a book on Informed Consent and Substance Abuse Treatment in which I address many of the issues I write about in this blog. |
