| Introduction | I am a 38-year-old science geek/writer type. GF is a 46-year-old veterinarian. Between us we have 4 cats and 4 dogs, and a penchant for rescuing every stray-in-need. We embarked on this baby-making quest in August 2008, started IUIs with injectibles in December 2009 to hasten the process in a race against my rapidly senescing ovaries. Much to our delight-- and surprise-- we got a sticky BFP (after one BFN and a "chemical pregnancy") on April Fool's Day 2010. |
