About me

Gender Female
Occupation homemaker
Location San Diego, California, United States
Introduction I am a Christian wife, mom and grandmom. Our life is ordinary as lives go - sometimes busy, sometimes boring, mostly inbetween, but always full of love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and each other. My heart's desire is to serve God with every breath that I take. Honey is our Cocker Spaniel who thinks she is human. Since all 4 of my children are grown and on their own, Honey is our baby. I wish I had been raised in the country on an old-fashioned farm, but I grew up in San Diego County, which I love also. I did live in small town Iowa for 12 years when my kids were growing up. I miss the 4 seasons. I knit, crochet, quilt, embroider, sew, garden, cook and bake. I enjoy being a homemaker. I am always learning. I love reading history, blogs, and anything that catches my fancy. I am not much of a tv or movie watcher, but do like to watch the old black and white movies and tv shows when I do. I love big band music and anything vintage. I collect all kinds of things. My husband thinks I am the president of the Pack Rats Association. I'm not really, but I am a proud member.
Interests I am eclectic with my interests and hobbies. I am constantly learning about the things that catch my attention. Some additional hobbies/interests than those listed on "about me" are genealogy, armchair traveling, antiques, flea markets, thrift stores, garage sales, girlie stuff, old menus, 1920s - 1950s living, and so much more.
