Introduction Wende Persons is a Marketing Consultant for Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, and an Adjunct Professor of “Marketing for the Performing Arts” at NYU’s Steinhardt School. She also has done consulting work for American Public Media’s Classical Music Initiative. Previously, she was Website Manager for WXQR, the classical station of The New York Times, Senior Director of Marketing for Universal Classics Group, Director of Promotion and Product Management for Deutsche Grammophon, Program Director of WQED-FM in Pittsburgh, and Director of Public Relations and Marketing for Pittsburgh Opera. Wende Persons also has worked at Wolf Trap, the Eastman School of Music, and as the Eastman Philharmonia’s Orchestra Manager at the Heidelberg Castle Festival in Germany. She is an alumnus of the State University College of New York at Fredonia and the University of Rochester (NY). Wende Persons is the librettist of the opera Patience & Sarah by Paula Kimper, which was premiered at Lincoln Center Festival ’98. (10/06)
