| Introduction | Like most superstars, Beyoncé is a person created by many, from her stylist to her songwriters. Writing to Beyoncé and asking her to think about her choice in the construction of her image, and the power of that image, challenges the idea of how societal norms place pressure on us to conform. With enough letters, Beyoncé might consider which public she is constructing herself for and what she represents as an icon. Whether Beyoncé actually grows out her armpit hair or not, writing and sharing these letters confronts this social pressure. The aim of this blog is to create a place to collect and display letters to Beyoncé.
