Introduction	Excellence in Theatrical Entertainment since 1977! Kaleidoscope Theatre creates the opportunity for talented young people to develop theatrical abilities by encouraging participation in the production and performance of theatrical plays. The goal of each performance is to educate and entertain young people through the medium of presentational and participatory drama. Kaleidoscope Theatre incorporates many of its theatrical topics to address youth educational issues such as drug dependence, drug prevention and elimination issues, teen pregnancy, divorce, deafness, as well as mainstreaming (inclusion) both in schools and in society. Young actors with disabilities have also been strongly encouraged to participate in all areas of theatrical production. At this time, the professional touring theatre company has among its company of performers six actors with mental retardation and several others with major or minor physical disabilities. Each production contains important messages as subtly as possible but with the recurring theme that "we are all special."
