| Introduction | Sarah Hanson grew up in the Los Angeles area surrounded by art and valley girl culture. At the age of 17, she quickly fled alone for a smaller city and a considerably more bizarre venue in Grand Rapids, MI where she attended Kendall College of Art and Design and received her BFA. In 2011, Sarah received her MEd. in art education from UNLV. Although being classically trained in drawing and photography, she bucks her education for a more fun and fulfilling “what ever makes her happy at the moment”, style of art. She focuses mainly on creating mixed media assemblages that have a 3D element, some of which even require 3D glasses. She has shown her work at Mars Gallery in Chicago, IL, Thirdstone Gallery which is now located in Fennville MI, City of the World Gallery, Black Bird Studios, 222 imperial (now closed) and Las Vegas Contemporary Art Center. Sarah is currently an elementary art teacher with CCSD. |
