Introduction I am a Montana native. My mother and father passed on to me their great love of the outdoors. My mother; love of plants and flowers and the majestic beauty of Montana, and all things natural. My father, hunting and fishing. My grandfather hand tied his own flies and hand made rods to fish with. I came to the Midwest as a legal/fire investigator; concrete and buildings. I retired from the stress and now i keep 'wild things in a box™' in El Paso, Wisconsin, in the Rush River Valley. Most don't realize how important honeybees are, and the hard work and long hours of being a beekeeper, or what it takes for a honeybee to make a pound of wax or a pound of honey. My honeybees teach me, I learn from them. I am just their keeper, helper and guide. Honeybees retain a right, and have an infinite, elusive capacity to show me up and make me look totally foolish! Honeybees bring me great joy...and sadness too, when they die. Once in awhile when i am not listening, watching, working on equipment, pouring honey or making labels, i get to let the trout in the Rush River frustrate me; with hand tied flies, a Winston rod, a semi cheap reel and my honeybees buzzing around me in the wildflowers...
