Introduction	My thoughts and words flow like two rivers. That is to say, some days when I'm cooking and reach for the colander, I can't find an English word in my head. It's a scolapasta and that is all. I stare at it hoping the English word will come but it just doesn't happen. Mostly it's the colander that gets me but it happens with other things, too. In those moments I don't feel Italian-Canadian, mezza-mezza, I just feel like a half. (Maybe I need to add more coffee to my macchiatos in the morning?) Most days, though, the rivers flow together and I can find the words I need easily from both streams of water! My husband is Ukrainian-Canadian, has a great sense of humour and is the King of BBQ. Our kids have taught me the meaning of wonder and patience. Some days I am still working on the patience part. We all share the love of cooking and eating and a very large collection of recipe books, only a few of which are Italian. Food is an international celebration! My name is Erina...welcome to my blog.
