| Introduction | After completing his schooling at the Athénée Jourdan in Fleurus (Belgium), Bert attended classes as an exchange student at Logan High School (Ohio, USA). He subsequently took degrees that included languages and translation studies at the EII-University of Mons as well as at the Industrial School of Farciennes-Fleurus in Belgium. As an employee in professional associations or educational administrations, Bert has always put forward his writing skills and relational qualities. Bert is a writer and translator who has specialized in editing, proofreading, database management, regulatory affairs and standardization. His language combination includes French (mother tongue), English, German and Dutch. Either as a database operator, a technical editor, a regulatory assistant or a language adviser, Bert has always shared his linguistic skills and methodology for improving quality in communication. Bert is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and of the IAPTI-International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters. He consults through this blog with select and motivated professionals on strategic language and linguistic issues and initiatives. |
