| Introduction | I finished graduate school and moved to Washington, D.C. in 2009. D.C. is definitely "home". I've spent the last year and a half as a graduate intern at a major museum in the city. Though born in Utah, I'm about as anti-Provo as is it gets (Cafe Rio is the best food you've ever had? Come on.). I'm a practicing member of the LDS faith, but decry the more bizarre parts of Mormon pop culture (because, really, no woman should ever have skunk hair (blond on the top and black on the bottom)). My interests include: photography (my other job) TRAVEL; reading; writing; continuous education; humanitarian endeavors; museums; and art. So, what can you expect to read on my blog? Major themes include: the drama (aka HELL) that goes with the singles scene, visiting various tourist sites (I do live in D.C. after all), stories from my life, and varied random thoughts. UPDATE: I've been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Santa Rosa mission. I'll be serving from February 2011 to August 2012! |
| Interests | Reading; writing (thus, the blog); school (not really an "interest" per se, but more an "obligation"); the outdoors; mountains; adventure; museums; history; government (I am an MPA after all!); photography (note: I am not one of those 19-year-old stay-at-home-moms that thinks she's a photographer -- first, I'm not 19; second, I don't use weird props like a baby with a toilet plunger or something nuts); and, finally, (attempting to be) a good person -- at least it's a work in progress. |
