| Introduction | I am an unapologetic bleeding heart liberal. This does not mean I embrace communism or even socialism. It does mean I feel government has an obligation to serve all people and to contribute to the public good. I am a capitalist but feel corporations can only survive long term if they also remember their ethical responsibilty as corporate citizens to also consider the public good as well as profits. If they can not do both they have no right to be in business. Most of what you will read here will be filtered through that world view. I am a husband, a father, a grandfather and a teacher so perhaps I may have a greater interest in the long term consequenses of societies actions than some. I will be suprised if many of you dont disagree with some of my opinions but please make your feedback constructive. There is far to much hate mongering out there. |
