Introduction I am a lot older than is allowed to testify on this web site.I am a very conservative politician, who had return from the American War of Independence to my home in Cornwall, only to find my country was being overrun by bleeding heart liberal socialist politicians, which are still the ruin of this world.I see the whole world is being overrun by liberals/socialists at present.Anyway,I attempted to restore my own fortunes by reopening one of the family's tin mines, which my father had practically squandered through drink and women!I learned to despise of my own bourgeoisie class, and had set out on the quest to help the poor.I later ran for Prince Regent, but found that I had kiss a lot of arse to hold this position,(Liberals are very good at kissing Arse, and I won't have any of it!)so I returned home to Cornwall and became the local mayor, where I felt I could better serve the needs of my towns people. We all lived happily ever after because of me, a level headed conservative who believes that people are the destiny of their own country, and should have a great deal of say on what they feel is to the best interest of their country, and not some dictator-totalitarian socialist politicians!
Interests Hiking, backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing, long distance endurance running and cycling, and last but not least cyclocross.Interests:I have too many interest to list, and am always game to acquire new ones. I do love foreign languages and cultures. I am a fluent speaker of Spanish. I studied German for 6 years and French for 3 years. If I had the time and money, I would spend a lot of time learning foreign languages, as this is great fun for me.
Favorite Movies Metropolis 1927, Gold Diggers 1933, Gold Diggers 1935. I enjoy many of the musicals and Gold age movies, when actors where truly actors!
Favorite Music My parents being the brave souls that they were, and having traveled around the world by ship, even though the philosophy of the time was that the world was flat, and if you got too close to the edge you would fall off, brought a variety of music of the world into our home, so I have a wide variety of tastes.I love Folk music.I like Victorian music, and my favorite Victorian instrumentalist is John Doan. I like traditional Bluegrass music, Irish music, Flamenco dance and guitar, Spanish guitar, Veracruz harp, Peruvian/Andean music. I like Classical music, music of The Crusades ~ Geoffrey Shaw, Baroque Lute music. I own many of the music I have mentioned in CD form. I guess I am a bit of a nerd in that I have strange taste in music. Any way, because of my love for the above music, and how it has inspired me, I actually play a few instruments. I play piano, guitar, folk harp, Dulcimer and Anglo Concertina. Mind you, I will never make it to Carnegie Hall, but my friends and I have great fun having music sit ins, and sing alongs. I have been trying my hand at Flamenco dance lessons, even if I have two left feet. It's not easy when one is 6ft 2 inches tall. Oh well, you can't win them all.
Favorite Books The Miscellaneous Prose Works of Sir Walter Scott, Bart, Volume X, Johnsons Word Dictionary.War of the 1st Coalition (with Napoleon's 1st Italian Campaign). I take a great interest in Medical science books and religious study books. I have to say, when it comes to books, I am all over the place as to what I like. I may end up liking something I thought I would not. Many books may catch my fancy from one moment to the next.
