| Introduction | I have a love for the art of motion pictures, specifically for the film classics that have stood the test of time. My grandfather was the person who first introduced me to old movies. I can't remember what the first classic movie we watched together was, but early on I came to appreciate the quality plots, dialogue, and showmanship present in early American film. One of the first classic films I watched was King Vidor's 1956 film rendition of Leo Tolstoy's novel War and Peace. It was so impressive to me that I stayed seated for what was almost three and a half hours of an emotional rollercoaster! I believe that was also the film that introduced me to my favorite actress, Audrey Hepburn. Now I have so many favorite classic films that I have lost track! I also started a collection of movie favorites, old and new, that I love to introduce friends to. I have always maintained this love of classic movies and hope to share this love and knowledge of classics with you! Enjoy! |
