| Introduction | Over the past decade, I’ve been trying to “work my way upwards” in the Facilities industry. During that time I’ve had the great fortune to have a pretty varied and interesting career, doing all sorts of jobs, meeting many interesting people and looking after a wide range of different workplaces. I’m also proud to be the Chair of the BIFMs' Rising FMs Special Interest Group. The Rising FMs work to promote facilities management as a career of choice. The group is focused at potential, new and existing participants within the facilities management profession. They provide practical careers advice, CPD learning, development and networking opportunities for anyone looking to progress their career, regardless of age or experience.
