Léireofar an tábhacht atá leis an scéalaíocht mar chuid dhílis de shaol agus de chleachtas cultúrtha an phobail sin. This blog follows the progress of my PhD research into the process of storytelling in Ireland. I will focus on stories told in documentary film form and broadcast on TG4, the National Irish language Television broadcaster founded in 1996. The aim of this project is to highlight the cultural and social importance of story telling to the traditionally Irish speaking community of West Kerry. This research is being carried out at the Department of Irish, NUI Galway with funding from the Irish Research Council. |
