Introduction	My household is totally chaotic. There’s a lot of laughter, a LOT of yelling, and a lot of deadpan stares. Needless to say, it’s wildly entertaining and sometimes overwhelming! It’s taken a long time, but I’ve finally realized that I’m not perfect.I know...it shocked me, too. I make tons of mistakes as a person, woman, and single parent of two, and I’m totally just flying by the seat of my pants here. The thing I’ve learned is that it’s useless to sugarcoat it…which is why anything I write about is always 100% us: the good, the bad, AND the (so, SO) ugly. Now that my kids are signifcantly older than when I began (lots of long hiatuses these days), I am reviving this hobby/passion with musings as an almost empty-nester and teacher of teenagers. The premise of the blog has always been to be a common bond between me and people I don’t know, who can maybe relate to the tearfully frustrating and over-excitable real-life situations that are sometimes so preposterous that I find myself shaking my head and saying, “Aubs…you seriously can’t make this stuff up.”
Interests	Reading, Watching my boys play sports (Baseball & Football), Watching sports live or on television: baseball & college football, primarily, Writing, Organizing...I know, it's weird.
Favorite movies	The Shawshank Redemption, The Rookie, To Kill a Mockingbird, For Love of the Game, Field of Dreams, The Holiday, The Breakfast Club, The Harry Potters, Fever Pitch, Gone with the Wind, The Green Mile, historical movies (nerd alert), and countless others, I'm sure...
Favorite music	I'm a Country girl at heart: George Strait, Brad Paisley, Deana Carter, Tim McGraw, Eli Young Band, Easton Corbin, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Lee Ann Womack, Luke Bryan, Lee Brice, Pam Tillis, Chris Young, Josh Abbott Band...I like old and new, and I love to mix it up. Alternately, I will gladly blast 90s music, Taylor Swift, TLC, Bone Thugs & Harmony, NWA, and Eminem, thus embarrassing my children and rendering my life complete.
Favorite books	James Patterson, Maeve Binchy, Sophia Kinsella, Emily Giffin, Janet Evanovich, Kate Quinn, John Grisham, and J.K. Rowling are some of my favorites. I love to read, and I'll give anything a chance!
