When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?

Engulfed with grief and the loss of a perfectly good rose, I could not help but exercise every effort to revive it. Unfortunately, roses do not actually come back to life, since they are technically not life forms to begin with. Warming the petals merely made the microwave smell like flowers.
